Progress for 10/29

Project 2 is almost complete.

This isn't the most recent form it's in but it's kinda close but further along.

Made from mostly epoxy resin. I also used hot glue and driftwood.

I painted UV resin with pigments onto the driftwood and used colored hot glue for the raised effect of water running down the wood.

Once the "rocks" were placed I poured first a dark brown earth colored backing then a swirled layer of pigments to look like a sandy bottom.

After that, a sprinkle of black sand will add depth and definition.

Tiny green UV resin leaves make up the plants.

Storm clouds will sit on top of the pedestal and the driftwood for the rainstorm.

I poured a layer of a slightly blue epoxy for the base layer of the water.

I have over 126 raindrops in various blues ready to add.

I have a few different ideas to make the water ripple. Molds, hot glue, etc.

I have water splashes molded and ready to put down as well as various small resin goldfish.

I like how the inside looks. I hate the back but I had to pour a layer after the heat gun cracked the back and one side.

New to using clay for clouds. I didn't have small enough or enough variety of cloud molds so I had to make due.

Clearly I should have put them in a base pour of clear epoxy to seal them before adding color but I was rushing.

How it looked last update.

3rd project.

My anti-fantasy. The world is a blank canvas. Make believe is a crutch that prevents one from taking control, responsibility, accountability, etc. and actually making themselves a life they want to live.

Resin edges are sharp. Accidentally bled on it...

These are wall and floor panels. A set for the blank canvas room.

A blank canvas house holds the room (with a view).

Clearly the house is a separate, smaller build than the room.

I hate narrative work but I don't see a better option.

Real "tiny house"

Walls made to look a bit like stucco.

Parts before assembly into furniture...
